Dragon dance
The history of the Dragon Dance can be dated back to the Han Dynasty (180-230 AD) in ancient China and, like the lion dance, plays an important part in Chinese culture. The Dragon itself has always been regarded as a Sacred creature, symbolising power, courage, righteousness and dignity amongst others.

Flamenco in Blue -Spanish Dance
Flamenco in Blue -Spanish Dance © Sanjeev Nandan Acrylic on canvas : Original concept and painting 16 in width x 20 in height Date: Apr 2011 |
Been busy lately but finally got back to completing another art work. This time its from Spain. Flamenco is usually a dance form in which you see a lot of red. I thought of taking a different approach and put in a little blue instead. As before, I design the work on computer and then paint it on canvas.
